Prospero Teaching is looking for Teaching Assistants to work in various primary schools in Bridgend. We currently do not have a specific school we are advertising for although we will be able to provide work-finding services based on your experience.

Acting as a work-finding service, we provide Teaching Assistant and Learning Support Assistant roles to a range of Mainstream and SEND Schools; from small village schools to large secondary schools. We are looking for Teaching Assistants to support all ages from Early Years through to KS5, who have strong behaviour management skills and are passionate about working with Special Needs. Prospero Teaching work with both experienced SEN Teaching Assistants and Mainstream staff who are looking to transition into specialist settings. Some contracts may be extended depending on work performance.

ABOUT THE TEACHING ASSISTANT ROLE:

Location – Various locations across Bridgend

Position – Primary Teaching Assistant

Type of work – Primary Teaching Assistants – Day to Day and long-term cover in various schools

Start date – ASAP

Duration – Day to day bookings, with Long Term (1-year contracts)

Contract type – Temporary

Full time/part time – Part time and full time depending on school’s requirements

Minimum rate of pay – Minimum £56

Hours – 8:30am – 4pm (typical full day)

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

Previous experience working in a UK school or college

Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential)

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

Hold Right to Work in the UK

Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application

Provide two professional references
